Course description: This course provides an overview of a systematic approach to the performance of first trimester transvaginal ultrasound. Included are techniques on how to use the vaginal probe and operate the ultrasound machine to view and obtain optimal imaging of the uterus, adnexa, pregnancy, and cul-de-sac, if indicated.   • Describe the steps of a systematic approach to transvaginal ultrasound.
  • Recall techniques for optimizing ultrasound images.
