Overview

This three-day in-person training for future LiFT trainers will build the foundational knowledge and skills needed to train facilitators to be able to implement the LiFT curriculum with youth and their parenting adults. Upon completion of the training, participants will have an established foundation to support successful training on the curricula with comfort and fidelity. By the end of the training, trainers should be able to answe the following questions:

      • Why is the LiFT Program needed?
      • What are the program’s theoretical framework and pedagogy?
      • What are program’s principles and values?
      • What makes LiFT and evidence based program?
      • What are the LiFT curriculum’s essential goals and components?
      • How do the essential components lead to the desired outcomes?
      • How can LiFT be implemented with excellence and fidelity?
      • What sex education do facilitators need to know to implement LiFT?
      • How should facilitators prepare to implement LiFT?
      • What are effective participant recruitment strategies for the LiFT program?
      • What materials are available for LiFT facilitators and how can they access them?
      • What are some challenges LiFT facilitators may encounter and how can they be addressed?
