This series of 14 courses includes instruction in the use, performance, and interpretation of ultrasound examinations in the field of abortion care. The first nine courses introduce the basic principles of ultrasound and its use in first trimester abortion care; the last five are advanced courses reviewing second trimester gestational age assessment, localization of the placenta, ultrasound guidance in second trimester abortion, and advanced ultrasound physics. The goal of this online enduring activity is to enhance the knowledge, competence (skill) and performance (practice) of learners regarding ultrasound in abortion care in order to assure positive patient outcomes.
