Course description: This course reviews laboratory and microscopy skills and techniques, which apply to the work conducted in health centers. Some topics covered include: vaginal ecology, purpose and use of vaginal microscopy, procedures for specimen collection, handling preparation, and examination, procedures and techniques for using and maintaining the microscope, and procedures and techniques for using a centrifuge to process a sample.
